Capturing the moment a person truly shows who they are takes patience and experience. Portrait photography is as complex and varied as people are. They all have their stories to tell or an image they need to project. When I photograph a musician I let their persona show through and try not to get in the way. When I photograph a corporate CEO I want them show the strong, competent part of their persona. I do not want to get in the way of showing who the person is, what little part of their personality, and from a staged corporate headshot, to a more informal journalistic style of photography for magazines or online blogs I will take the time and listen to who you are and make you feel that the shot is as much of a collaboration as I want it to be.
