Today's commercial photographer has to understand about not only
lighting, but digital as well as Photoshop. What it can do and what
it can't do. It's one thing to know how to light,but to know that
certain colors are inherently "softer" with digital than
conventional film is another.
To know what to leave to Photoshop, and what to get right in the
shot when dealing with digital photography is crucial to the best
image possible. I've shot several catalogs for LifeWay,
Georgia Boot, Vanderbilt University,
and several other corporations. I won two ADDY's as corporate photographer
for Philips/Magnavox. I know the challenges and don't mind the AR,
designer, owner, and several others standing over my shoulder as
I shoot.
